What Could Be Butter

About me

HEY, I’M SYDNEY YORKSHIRE. WELCOME TO WHAT COULD BE BUTTER!

As a native Angeleno with a Japanese and Jewish background and a family of insanely-talented cooks, food has always been at the forefront of my life. There’s even a story of me as a naked baby eating natto in the sink at a family reunion in Maui (if you don’t know what natto is, 100% google it).

Fast forward to the adult world where I’ve been working in the restaurant public relations and social media space since 2013. I’ve had the pleasure of running the social media for celebrity chefs and handling the culinary PR for some of the biggest music events in the US. After giving the agency life a go, I ventured out on my own to do social media and content creation for restaurants in Los Angeles and New York, turning WCBB into both a creative brand and a business. Want to check out my services? Let’s connect!

Conceived out of a love (okay, probably more like an obsession) for food, combined with an appreciation for photography, WCBB was born. What started as photos of food I’d make as a naïve recent college grad transformed into an outlet for my passion. So, why start a blog now? For years, I’ve been the go-to for restaurant recommendations and travel plans, and now I can share my favorite restaurants, life-changing travels and fun and easy recipes (coming soon!) in more detail all right here!

When I’m not scarfing down sushi, searching for sandwiches or getting my brunch on, you can find me playing tennis, traveling around the world to my next culinary destination, cheering on my beloved Lakers or binge-watching the latest shows. Let’s get real, though, whatever I’m up to probably (aka: definitely) involves food, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

For whatever reason you were brought here, I’m happy you made it. Whether we can connect on food, travel or any of the above, I hope you follow along on my journey. Thanks for visiting!

xx,

Sydney
